Smoky Rocky Mountains

Still a lot of smoke haze today.  We are feeling the effects of being at 10 - 12,000 in the park, so only did a few short walks today.  Luckily amazing views can be had from the roads through the park.

We enjoyed a nice tea/hot chocolate while looking at this view from the Alpine Visitors Centre.

Yellow-bellied Marmot

We stood watching a group of marmots foraging for their morning tea.  They all looked very well fed but I guess they are stocking up for the cold winter ahead.
This one is a little pica, about the size of a rat but does not have a tail.  It was sharing the same rocky slope as the marmots.
