Emerald Lake, Rocky Mountains National Park

A great walk this morning to Emerald Lake in the Rocky Mountains National Park.  The scenery was spectacular in spite of a haze of smoke blanketing the park from wildfires burning in Montana and other northwestern states.  Just as we arrived the haze lifted and we enjoyed a little window of clear skies.  The walk starts at Bear Lake Trailhead, which is at 9,400 ft and climbs to just over 10,000 ft at Emerald Lake.
