Queenstown, New Zealand

We had our coldest and hottest temperatures to date on this trip.  It was 6 deg going over the Crown Range from Wanaka to Queenstown this morning, and 27 deg at the bottom of the Coronet Peak road this afternoon.  I'm not complaining though, it was beautiful weather.

Queenstown was very busy, so after a delicious coffee, we headed off to Arthur's Point to watch the Shotover Jet Boats.

Then we drove to the parking area at Coronet Peak.

This little kettle lake was a very short walk from the beginning of the Skipper's Canyon Road.  We didn't drive down the road today, just stopped and looked over the edge.

The tussock really was this colour.  I had my camera set on "Landscape" and this is the result.
