Teignmouth, Devon

Teignmouth (a town at the mouth of the Teign River) was an attractive place to wander on the waterfront.

The cliffs in the distance and the sand on the beach are a deep red colour, enhanced by the late afternoon sun.  A few people were even swimming.

Taken from the pier.  I had to walk through an amusement arcade built on the pier in order to access the pier itself.

I think these beach huts are probably used to store gear for all the dinghies pulled up on the sand.

Darn, I didn't notice those fishing lines when I composed this.
