Flowers, Edinburgh Botanic Gardens

After an overnight flight from Toronto to Edinburgh, the Botanic Gardens seemed like a relaxing way to spend a few hours before checking into our accommodation.  Somehow we managed to take our blue sky with us, and Edinburgh was warm and sunny.

These carnivorous plants were in a glasshouse and had just been watered.

Memories of New Zealand.

Edinburgh Botanic Garden has the biggest collection of vireya rhododendron species in the world, so of course we went into that glasshouse.  This one was quite small, approximately 2.5 cm long, and I love it's pattern.

This photo was actually taken in Ontario, Canada but it was still on the camera from yesterday.
