Huka Falls, Taupo

The Huka Falls, near Taupo, where the Waikato River squeezes through a narrow rocky channel, is always awe inspiring for me.  All that noise and energy!  On this visit the colour of the water also intrigued me ... why is it this aqua colour here, and nowhere else on it's 425 kilometer journey from the slopes of Mt Ruapehu down to Lake Taupo, and then on to the sea at Port Waikato?

I wanted to show movement here, and tried moving my camera horizontally why on a slow shutter speed.  I realise the effect is not everyone's cup of tea, but I quite like it.
