New Zealand War Cemetery, Bourail, New Caledonia

The New Zealand War Cemetery 10 kilometers outside the town of Bourail is where over 200 New Zealand soldiers are buried.  They were killed all over the Pacific during WWII.  New Zealand troops set up a hospital in the area and many locals also received free medical care.  A ceremony is held on the Saturday closest to ANZAC Day (25 April) each year and local school children place a flower on each grave.  The cemetery is well kept and I thought it a beautiful place, looking out to the mountains.

All the other individual graves seemed to have names, but not this one.
