Kangaroo Family taking a jog in the park

With a temperature of 39 degrees forecast for today we were out early.  King's Billabong is close to the Murray River and we were told it was a good place to see birds.  We heard some laughing kookaburras, which was great, and then stood still as we glimpsed movement ahead and saw this kangaroo family come bounding towards us.  They saw us at the last moment (about 3 metres away) and veered off into the bush at top speed.  I feel sorry for mum carrying around a joey that size!
