It has become somewhat of a tradition with me now, to take photos of tui feasting on the blossom of the Taiwan Cherry Tree. This particular cherry is the first one to blossom each spring, and my favourite place to see them en masse is Omana Avenue in Epsom, Auckland. Today there was no shortage of blossom or tui although a local resident assured me they were now passed their best.

By careful positioning I was able to capture a fleeting patch of blue sky for a background. |

As well as a visual feast, it was audible as well.
