Drumheller's Dinosaur Trail, Alberta, Canada

As I mentioned yesterday, we changed our plans due to a wildfire in Glacier National Park, Montana.  It was a good thing we did, as the little township we were booked to stay at was evacuated yesterday evening.  So instead if had this wonderful (if long) day discovering the badlands and dinosaur discoveries near Drumheller, west of Calgary.  These photos are just a sample of the many interesting experiences of today.

The badlands from Orkney Viewpoint.  Many of the fossils discovered in this area are found in landscape such as this.

The Little Church at Drumheller - seats six, comes complete with stained glass windows, and is meant to be a place of peace and contemplation (rather than a tourist attraction).

Dinosaur bones at the Royal Tyrrell Museum, Drumheller, where the dinosaurs awaken.  This place is AMAZING.  It has to be seen to be believed.
