Bear Glacier is a beautiful, blue glacier right by the road as you drive into Stewart. As you can see, we had low cloud and light rain, so we were very pleased to get this view. Approximately five kilometres before the glacier we came upon a black bear feeding on the grass and vegetation by the roadside. It ignored cars stopping close by. The funny thing is, the reason we came to Stewart was to see bears feeding on salmon at a creek here. When we drove out to the creek, the salmon run hasn't started yet and there were no bears. But we saw a bear near Bear Glacier!
