The Southern Alps, Aerial View

I was incredibly priveledged today to see the Southern Alps from a helicopter.  It was a truly amazing experience!  Words cannot express the feeling to zooming around like a bird (kea) amongst the highest peaks in New Zealand.

Mt Cook - we couldn't go around the eastern side as it was too windy over there.

Tasman Glacier (all dirty coloured) with it's terminal lake, with Lake Pukaki in the distance.

We landed way up on a glacier so all that white foreground is snow.  Unreal.
