Central Otago

We drove from Dunedin into Central Otago, basically following the Otago Rail Trail route to Alexandra.

The Rail Trail at Wedderburn

St Bathan's Blue Lake.  The old mining town of St Bathan's has a dramatic man-made lake.  Normally it is a beautiful blue colour but today black rain clouds darkened it.  Seconds after this was taken I was sprinting for the shelter of the car as the rain started.
