When we arrived in Napier a couple of days ago, I discovered to my delight that our motel was right by the water at a place called Perfume Point. I haven't yet found out why it was given that name, but the good things were we have a great view of all the activities going on by the beach, and the beach is actually safe to swim at. Both of these photos were taken from our little balcony. There are also a steady stream of yachts, fizz boats, and fishing boats entering or leaving the marina.
