Emu

This emu was one of several in Mungo National Park, NSW.  I'm not sure what the collective noun is when it comes to emu, but I'll use "flock".  The flock contained six or seven emu, and this one was the closest to the car, so I "shot" him.  From this perspective it makes you realise just how large these birds are!  This was taken at about noon on a particularly hot day so I'm wondering if they are moving to seek shelter under the trees.
