Lone Pine, California

This cute little town is a gateway to Death Valley one side, and has Mt Whitney on the other.  We ate our lunch at a picnic table outside the information centre (the photo with the tree), drove a couple of miles and discovered this picturesque little lake.  We even saw a roadrunner (bird) but were not quick enough to photograph it.
