Dante's View, Death Valley, California

We were in luck when we drove up to this viewpoint. Fine weather and the low angle of the sun during January (winter) brought out the colours of the landscape.  The white salt pan on the left is Bad Water Basin, the lowest point in the U.S. at -282 ft below sea level.
