Kohaihai

Approximately 15 k north of Karamea, Kohaihai is the name given to the 'end of the road'.  There is a parking area and not much else.  If you want to continue north, it's by foot, as this is where the Heaphy Track starts (or finishes if you started in Golden Bay).   It was high tide when we were there with a big swell rolling in.  The track starts with a swing bridge to cross the river.
