Raffles Hotel, Singapore

Raffles Hotel, a symbol of colonial Singapore, a favourite spot of Ernest Hemingway and Somerset Maugham and where the famous cocktail, the Singapore Sling, was invented.  It still operates as a hotel, but is also a National Monument.

A rare moment when there wasn't a taxi or vehicle delivering or picking up guests.

Some beautiful frangipani trees in bloom in the grounds.
