The Flowering of the Cross

The Flowering of the Cross is a Ponsonby Baptist Easter activity performed on Easter Sunday as part of the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus.  The cross is normally bare wood, but during the service everyone helps festoon it with flowers and greenery.  The amazing thing is that the placement of each and every item is entirely random but the overall effect looks amazing.
