Kluane National Park, Yukon

One of the amazing things about Kluane National Park is the lack of "civilization".  The nearest town is Haines Junction which is about 70 k away from where this photo was taken.  There is a small information centre up at the head of the lake which was giving out "Be Bear Aware" pamphlets etc (and had a long drop toilet) but that was it, - no petrol station or road house.   We spotted this pull off from some distance away when it had a couple of campervans in it, but by the time we arrived they had packed up and gone. We had this beautiful place all to ourselves for lunch.
