Mammals Seen on the Alaska Highway so far

As well as THE BEAR we have also seen the following animals grazing beside the Alaska Highway:

A female caribou (young?) also known as reindeer in Lapland and Norway.

Some Stone Sheep (which look like goats but are sheep.  They are only found in this particular small area of the northern Canadian Rockies.

Wood Bison - one of a herd of about 30, grazing the side of the highway.

A porcupine scuttling off with it's spines out seeing our stopping car as "danger!".

Well maybe you aren't a threat after all.
