A Grizzly Bear, Canmore, Alberta
On the road from Canmore to Waterton Lakes National Park, we came across our first grizzly bear grazing on the vegetation not far from the road. You can tell it's a grizzly because of the large hump on it's shoulders. It has a tag and a collar so it is obviously being monitored. It seemed oblivious to the cars stopped or the unwise motorist who got out of his car to photograph him better. Half a kilometer after we saw him, we were supposed to do a short walk. Neither of us felt so inclined.
