Fairy Toadstool

I can still remember a picture book we had when I was very young about an animal (perhaps a mouse?) putting some belongings in a handkerchief tied onto a stick and going off to seek his fortune.  Before long he arrives at an enchanted forest with fairy toadstools.  Maybe this is where my love of travel stems from.
