I chose this composition because I liked the shadow of the palm trees on the sand. This had the added benefit of putting me in the shade to take the photo, which in those temperatures suddenly becomes important.

Dunk Island from Mission Beach, Queensland
We didn't visit Dunk Island, just viewed it from afar. Maybe another time at a cooler time of year.
