We accessed the Cape Brett Lighthouse by catching a water taxi from Russell to Deep Cove, and then walking for two and a half hours along a track which had both steep ups and downs, and also sheer drop-offs. But it was well worth the effort. Like the previous three days, the weather started off overcast with low cloud and mist, then cleared by mid-morning to a brilliantly fine, hot summer's day. We returned the same way, but there was enough time for a swim at Deep Cove while waiting for the water taxi. :-) The water was VERY cold, but refreshing after a hot walk.
