Snake at Snake River, Twin Falls, Idaho

While at a lookout at a bridge over the Snake River what did we see but a snake!  I think it had come out for a bit of sunbathing but decided it was better off back in it's hole when it realised people were looking at it.  Although quite thin, about 1.5cm, it was quite long, about 1.5 meters stretched out I estimated.  Unfortunately it was quite hard to photograph in the grass, but I used my telephoto lens so I didn't have to get too close.

This is the bridge over the canyon we were looking at.  I think from memory the distance down to the river was 500 ft.
