Hi Janet, I once went through there, on the way out at full tide, in a 14 ft tinnie. We had sheared off the pin on the prop, the owner asked me to look after it on the beach while he took off to Glen Eden for a spare. An hour or so later we had fitted it and gunned it straight through the Gap on our way out fishing. Peter
