River Otters, Telegraph Cove, Vancouver Island

I've called these three River Otters but that is my best guess.  They were on a floating pier at Telegraph Cove and, even though I was quite a distance away, they dived into the water after I had taken this photo.  This is sea water, but sea otters have white faces, so I'm calling them river otters.

We haven't seen a lot of wild life on this trip, so were happy to see these.  Richard also saw a black and yellow snake, (about half a meter long) this morning, but it was gone before I had a chance to see it.
