Ketchikan is Alaska's 5th largest city with a population of 12,000 permanent residents. This swells during the summer months with cruise ship visitors. The airport is on a different island from the main town, and we picked up our rental car at the airport then immediately got on a car ferry (5 minutes max) to go to Ketchikan. A few random sights -

Historic Creek Street, once a busy red light district. |
Lots of totem poles |
Cruise ships and float planes. Note the sky. When it wasn't actually raining it was low cloud.
