Dunrobin Castle is well worth a visit if you get the chance. The brochure tells me that it is the most northerly of Scotland's great houses and is the largest house in the highlands, with 189 rooms. A part of it dates from the early 1300's and has been continually inhabited since. Only a small section is open to the public, but a game of hide and seek might take all week to complete. I also liked the formal gardens.
