Oystercatcher

I am convinced oystercatchers are camera shy, or somehow a camera triggers a "predator" warning signal.  If I am walking along a beach without a camera, and ignoring the oystercatchers, they will let you come within meters of them.  As soon as I have a camera, they like to keep about 15 or 20 meters away, and I am invariably left with a photo of one walking away, taken from a distance.
