Sunset over Auckland

This sunset was actually three weeks ago, but that doesn't make it any the less dramatic.  Our lounge windows do not face west, so initially it was the reflected clouds in the eastern sky that caught my attention.

The houses across the street from us block the true sunset, so in order to take this I had to walk 100m down the road to the view over the Manukau Harbour.  I was very glad I made the effort, but I was only just in time.  Two minutes after this next photo was taken, all the colour had gone.
