Nhill, Western Victoria, Australia
Nhill - we were told by locals the h is silent, therefore "Nill'. The name of this small town is derived from the Aboriginal word 'nyell', meaning 'white mist on water'. There is a large billabong (small lake?) which has a boardwalk round it which made a great place to stretch our legs while passing through. Nhill is exactly halfway between Melbourne and Adelaide, if you were driving that route, which we weren't.
