Lizard, Grampians, Victoria

This Shingle-backed Lizard was happily walking about in the sun until an annoying photographer got a bit too close and it hurriedly scuttled off into the scrub.  I noticed it behind our car from quite a distance away when we returned from a walk, and wondered what this odd shaped, fat, moving cylinder was.  On closer inspection it proved to be a lizard, approximately 30 - 40 cm in length.  I consulted the internet for images of various Australian lizards, and the shingle-backed lizard fitted all the criteria perfectly.
