The Kiama Lighthouse was established in 1887, 10 years after the creation of the Robertson Basin, a man made harbour to service Kiama's supply of crushed blue metal and paving blocks for the streets of Sydney. It was a pleasant surprise to find the ANZAC commemoration. As today is a memorable day for New Zealand and Australia rugby fans, I thought it fitting to have this photo for today's blog.
(Yes, I'm back home with access to my desk computer and decent internet, hurray!)
