Moraine Lake, Alberta

Moraine Lake is 17 kilometers away from the better known Lake Louise, but is equally as scenic, if not better.  We were so lucky with the weather, as we had had pouring rain on our earlier activity, but it eased off by the time we got to Moraine Lake.  We enjoyed an hour long walk alongside the lake and then climbed  "The Rock Pile" (a pile of terminal moraine) where we had one of the best lunch spots ever, (and we have had some amazing ones).  This shot was taken from the lunch spot.

This really was the colour, the only thing I have done in photoshop is to reduce the size and add my name.
