Broome, Western Australia

Broome - red, red, dirt, beautiful blue clear water, and hot, very hot.  Those are a few adjectives that come to mind after our exploring today.

We drove a few kilometers out of town to where there is a deep water port and pier.  Red, red dirt.

We saw this bronze whaler shark while walking on the jetty.  (A guy had a huge chunk of meat on a line.)  A minute or two earlier I had just remarked that I was so hot I felt like jumping in the water.  I didn't feel so inclined after I saw this fellow, and swam in the swimming pool instead.

This heron was just  hanging out on the pier.
