Birds at the Salton Sea, California

The Salton Sea in southern California is the states largest lake.  It was formed in 1905 when the Colorado River flooded the Salton Sink, a valley on the San Andrea faultline, which, like Death Valley, is below sea level.  Today the lake is a haven for birds.

Great Egret

Gulls, not sure what species, but the one landing is a juvenile.

Brown Pelicans
