Taurepo Flower, New Zealand Gloxinia,

It's botanical name is Rhabdothamnus solandri, but I can't say that.  These flowers were spotted by my sharp eyed husband on our walk to the Wentworth Falls near Whangamata.  Taurepo is a bushy shrub which grows to 2 metres.  This particular plant seemed very healthy and happy, but it was the only one we saw.
