Observation Point Hike, Zion National Park

This trail starts at 'Weeping Rock', climbs up past the turn off to Hidden Canyon, continues on through Echo Canyon, and ends at Observation Point with views down Zion Valley.  With an elevation gain of 2,148 feet it is quite a challenge for a grey-haired lady, but I'm certainly glad I did it!

We were lucky to see this group of Big Horn sheep.  (We started early.)

Prickly pear cactus at the top.

This little chipmunk was used to getting the crumbs from everyone's lunch, as it showed no fear of us.

Not a cloud in the sky made for a hot walk back down.

A reflection in a puddle of water in Echo Canyon.
