Hapuawhenua Viaducts, Old and 'New'
A short drive from Ohakune, is the Old Coach Road, a shared biking/walking trail. We did the first stage, to the Hapuawhenua railway viaducts. The old one was built in 1907, and the new one in 1987. The old one has been restored and is now safe to walk across. This was a very popular trail, especially for bikers.
