Seldovia

The only way to reach Seldovia is by boat from Homer or to fly, even though it is on the mainland there is no road.  We did a boat trip and were lucky again with the weather.

Homer marina and docks is on a natural spit extending 4 miles out from the town. 



Wood sculpturing is a feature



The town is an odd mix of real junky and cute country style

I'm not sure what this little building is but it caught my eye.

This area has huge tidal ranges, approximately 30 feet.

A tiger fire hydrant?

I was told these are blue poppies.  They were this exact colour.
