After a fairly full-on travelling day (Cordova to Anchorage, Anchorage to Honolulu, and Honolulu to Maui) it was 10pm and DARK when we arrived at the condominium we had rented. I went to sleep to the sound of the waves, and when I woke at 6 am this is what I saw from our balcony! It was togs on and down four flights of stairs for a swim.
Later on we went driving around. The mountain, Haleakala, 10,000 ft, was mostly hidden by cloud, but we drove around the base for quite a way. It was so windy I had trouble holding the camera steady.
