We watched these three come down from the hills and walk along the road right past our bus!  This is not a normal event.

We are now back in civilization in Fairbanks, the second largest city in Alaska, and the furthest north on our travels.  Sunset tonight is quarter to one, and sunrise tomorrow at 3 am.  It got to 25 deg C this afternoon but in winter it regularly gets to minus 30 deg F! (It is sort of like Alexandra in our South Island in terms of extremes.)
